It has been another exciting day in school! Our World Book Day celebrations have proved to be a great success, where all staff and children have again been able to affirm their love of reading. Children pulled out all of the stops and came to school dressed head to toe as their favourite book characters. Their inventive ideas ranged from William Beech to Harry Potter with many of our favourite princesses and super heroes spotted on the day. There was even a visit from a very intimidating Cruella Di Vil!

The children were involved in a variety of activities. They met in family groups to make book marks and one class toured the school interviewing people about their most loved books and authors. In the afternoon the children were all engaged in reading activities. These ranged from publishing their own adventure stories to writing book reviews.

We would like to thank the children and their families for pulling out all of the stops to make this another memorable World Book Day. It was a real celebration of, allowing us to show just how much we love reading at Holy Infant and St Anthony.
