World Book Day

2017 marks the 20th anniversary of World Book Day, and our children have helped it to go off with a bang. Everyone has made a real effort to come to school either in a costume or in their pyjamas, with a favourite bedtime story. We have had a range of costumes from The Cat in the Hat to Where’s Wally?  Everyone has contributed to make the day a success!

Staff have also got into the spirit with Gandalf from Lord of the rings and two Mary Poppins characters flying in for a visit, courtesy of Mrs Harding and Mrs Wright. Two hungry caterpillars were also in school (Mrs Montell and Mrs Pennington) to fight over who was going to eat the fruit in KS1!

The children and staff have really enjoyed celebrating the wonderful world of books today. Thank you to all parents who have made such an effort in supporting the children and providing them with such amazing costumes!
