Today the children stayed for dinner and they were superstars! They lined up and chose what they wanted to eat and asked Maggie for their choice using lovely manners. Today was meatballs or jacket potato. The children seemed to really enjoy it! Lexi said “Dinners are so good” and Leo said, “delicious!”. Millie, Olivia and Imogen told me that they did not sleep last night because they were so excited!
Number practice- Can you help teddy?
He is very hungry and would love some cakes! yum yum!
Today we’ve been on a mini-beast hunt. We looked in all the dark, damp spots; under logs and stones. We used a pooter to carefully suck them into a pot so that we could look at them.
On Wednesday 21st March classes 4 and 5 were joined by year 3 children from St Pauls for our Spring Serenade. The children sang beautifully, ably accompanied by Year 4 on their brass instruments. The afternoon was a great success. Many thanks to our friends from St Pauls, to Mrs Becker for organising the event and Mr Hobson for supporting the children in year 4. Well done everyone!
Just before the holidays, we had a very special CAFOD assembly with Jane and Leo Conley. We were all invited to do something small each week during Lent to help our school to collect some money for this very worthy cause. How are you doing? Have you managed to save any of your pocket money? Maybe you’ve asked for your sweet money for the week to be saved or you may have been asking to do extra jobs around the house in the hope that your palm will be crossed with silver. There’s still time to start. Help us to work together to make a difference. Please collect your money at home and look out for when to bring it in.
Well done to all of the children who have been in school every day in January. Certificates are being given out today. These lucky children were picked out of ‘the hat’ to receive a book token.
