Spring fails to come to the Selfish Giant’s garden.

The Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde

In English, we have been reading The Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde. When he returns from his visit to see his friend, the Cornish Ogre, he decides to banish all visitors from his magical garden.

However, this decision backfires upon him: Spring decides that she cannot preside within a garden where children are forbidden. Instead of Spring bringing her elegant, majestic touch, his garden is inhabited by uninvited guests…

    Lightning

Without any interruption, Lightning hastened towards the outstanding greensward in which a mammoth, bleached bedspread cover the splendid allotment in beautiful snowy glory.

    “OY”, Lightning roared
” Why is there an absence of my invitation to your wonderful merrymaking of spring’s nonattendance this year”.
”Well dear we would but then again, you well tend to get to get a little bit overheated to say the less”. Whispered snow in a formal accent.

Chock-full with furious energy he unconstrained every preceding ounce of stagnant voltage out on the glorious plot. Trees knelt down at the nerve-racking presence of aggressive thunder’s fury, coveting- coveting they won’t be maltreated in the slimmest- for their lives. Even the mighty oak, who held a reputation for the strongest, felt meek at his awakening.

It was true that no place was safe, flower ever dared to blossom out of the overprotective topsoil of the gracious garden. No soul will be originated animated after advancing out of the breath-taking greensward.

Tell me will you survive here in this place of corrupt?
I wouldn’t not if my life depended on…

    Snow

Snow floated in like she was perched on a cloud. Wearing a beautiful dress made of ice, and she has reflecting snowflakes in her hair. Then she conjured up an ENORMOUS snow ball that scattered on the ground like her cousin Elsa. Her gleaming face brings joy to all the children, with her artistic scenery. The garden had been awaiting her arrival due to her brother cold, whose icy wind can freeze all the trees around him, already stopping the garden in its tracks. Her agility can manipulate the tiniest detail to stand out. Snow’s long glistening cape can cover a large area of ground. She is friends with Santa and all the Reindeers but she has a strong connection with Glisten and Vixen.
Her worst enemy Thunder (the evil one) can cause her to create a colossal snow storm! How do you think you would have coped? Her strong wind can blow anything away and the mischief makers never returned.
As winter turned to spring, Snow magically glided away on a soft, white cloud and left till the next cold season…

    FOG

Fog, who is a very sly weather, came tiptoeing in – motionless. The fog is like a thief in the night. Wearing his bulky jacket, he trudged, hurling his stony, bitter blanket suffocating everything in his path. Freezing everybody with his artic like, dense cloak. The world disgusts Fog: he is very crafty. He made every place and every building sightless with his impenetrable mist. Fog makes the air so solid that nothing (not even the wind) could advance through it. How could anything survive in this?

The garden wasn’t expecting Fog because his so sluggish. As he crept into the garden the giant, who was really depressed, spotted him and started to panic. The fog went out as gentle as he came in. His been wandering the earth since the dawn of time. In time the fog rambled to another land and is yet to return to the garden to this day…

    Frost

Frost came in like a majestic eagle roaming the lands. His clothing was grey but all ripped. He was raging with anger! Slithering like a snake, he hissed and let nothing get in his path. Frost was near enough indestructible, going onwards. Strangling the bright, blooming, blossom trees with his one hand, he couldn’t be stopped! Although Frost was frightened-frightened because if Thunder caught him again it wouldn’t end well! The mischievous Frost started to cause trouble to the city just for fun. Frost didn’t care what he was doing: who was going to stop him? Little did he know that someone was watching all of Frost’s dark deeds. Frost was causing so much havoc!

Whilst going by, Frost was making everyone’s garden depressed including The Selfish Giants garden. Frost made the graceful beauty turn into darkness and misery. Everyone demanded back the paradise they once had. Who could stop this dark fiend they call Frost? All the beautiful weathers showed their dark side and tried to stop Frost with all of their power. Could it be done? Whilst Frost was beating up the city carefree Sun, Spring, and summer teamed up to stop Frost. They all used their power but it wasn’t unfortunately wasn’t possible. Sun got mad! With all of the power Sun had, she beamed out a light of sun and Frost slowly melted to his death. Frost was finished!

    Frost
Without announcing her presence, Frost glides into the world of beautiful spring, causing mischief and destruction. Harming the little, singing, blue birds and swinging them on the snowy ground, making the pretty, green, emerald grass white, Making window of cars frosty and frozen. Without having an invitation, frost, who has tried many times to fail summer, spring and autumn, came to the park (where children and kids played happily) and completely made the weather the opposite of nice and relaxing. She made the concrete ground slippery so that dogs cannot go on walks.
Performing her darkness, she covered up the summery sun and clear, blue sky with dull, grey clouds that’s ready to pour down rain.
Creating the most worst thing to come out of your house and see. The animals, which was confused and didn’t know what was happening to the beautiful, nice weather, went into their houses that they built to protect themselves from the disaster that has come so suddenly. “Seeing people and pets walking into their homes just makes it ten times better than making the world seem so dull and a horrible place to come to”.

Will the world ever be happy again?

    Snow
Snow, there she was, covering the ground completely.
Snow is beautiful. She is nice and she smells of ice,
Her breath is like ice, and she is white.

Snow is the only one who sticks to the ground.
Snow turns into ice when she gets angry and
Frustrated, she melts when she is sad.

She is cold, she is hot, she makes the world
Wonder what is going on, she is shy,
But she can also fly, which is good, no which
    Is so cool. Good bye

He leaves everything shivering and frozen still. His breath as cold as ice; his skin transparent like glass. His teeth as pale as snow. Frost the happiest guy you’ll ever see is you can (because he is the speediest guy alive). Frost the guy you likes everyone, even the people you hate him. Creeping, Frost with his menacing stair. Frost, who is known for his mischief and his black magic. Without announcing his presence, ghastly Frost, who is freezing my windows and making my path way greasy. Frost, is the over lord of the winter.
He freezes up the air conditioning, he freezes the golden door knob, and he freezes the fence. He is works with Hail and wind to destroy the mansion.

    Wind

Without any invitation or warning, the mischievous male – known as Wind – silently crept across the innocent, beautiful garden. Brushing past the weak, helpless plants, jubilantly heading towards the looming castle, Wind wore his grey tracksuit and hood with only his majestic, bright blue eyes standing out from his grey personality. The boy carries a large wooden staff to fight off his immortal enemy. Frost.
Gliding from house to house rattling the windows, he spotted something that rattled his senses. A speck of frost. He was here. Cautiously, wind searched for Frost eradicating any signs of him in Wind’s domain. After hours of endless searching, Wind came to a halt. I was Frost. “Get out of my territory!!! It is mine and mine alone!” Bellowed Wind. “Never!!!” Frost countered. “You will be demolished!!” “You know you can’t terminate me Wind!! At least not forever!!!”
Then the stunning sun rose and pulverised Frost and Wind Fled. Never to be seen again.

    Rain
Rain tore the innocent clouds apart and demanded they started thrashing rain all over the poor Londoners. He was jeering at all the other weathers as nobody could penetrate him. As Snow melted away, she was presently followed by Frost.
Rain was hysterical. He hadn’t had this much fun since last September, when he had been joined by the strong presences of Thunder and Lightning. The clouds were growing to be exhausted of carrying all the heavy water. For them it was like hauling a pitcher full of titanium weighing six tonnes. Rain refused to let the clouds relax for even one quarter-second.
Rain danced on the roof, making all the slates snap in two and plummet down to the floor. He was planning his next brilliant act (as he would call it). He was about to finish plotting when the North Wind came in. Rain built up resistance: but so did The North Wind. Rain shrieked; The North Wind was protecting the clouds. BANG! They brawled. CRACK! They scuffled some more. After hours of purposeless combat, The North Wind bit Rain like a cobra, and Rain scuttled backwards. Rain progressively backed away; he was a baby.
After the battle, which was completely pointless, yet very antagonistic, The North Wind put an end to Rain, and sent him soaring over the knolls.

    Lightning
Lightning battered the garden with all of its menacing power, thriving off of people’s terror and fright. His bloodcurdling gown shooting out bolts of electricity, like a gun blasting a bullet! Boom! The flamboyant crash of Thunder echoing through the vulnerable sky reporting to his younger brother lightning that it’s his time to strike!
The fatalistic atmosphere facilitated lightning to have a marvellous time whilst performing his shockingly frightening act. The storm cloud would unceremoniously drop strikes of lightning and let them swiftly plummet to the ground, penetrating through the dense air, hammering down through the solid garden ground!
The storm clouds rocked an rattled, Thunder boomed and then [the most unpredictable of all] the lightning leapt out of the storm cloud flashing and speeding towards the garden, piercing through any tree or branch that got in its way. As he got closer to the defenceless garden he engulfed everything that the garden owned completely destroying it for good.
Bu then, the wicked, murky clouds came and stole the lightning. Carrying it away so that he could shock someone/ something else with his stunning performance.

    WINTER
She inundated maliciously into Autumn’s territory, instructing the leaves—as bright Summer’s sky—to decay in her icy wrath. She sends Blizzard spating east. Fog was engulfing the breathless air. Winter had begun her glacial dawn of terror.
If she were an aeroplane, she would launch bombs of frost upon the dwelling. She was gushing from house to house, billowing the trees, rending their roots from the dry grass and soil. People flooded the crowded streets, huddling together with dread. The white, spherical weapons spat onto the surface, causing despair to chime through the neighbourhood. Winter had come to her hazardous climax.
What can stop her; what could defeat her? She is the fear of the vicinity, but her pleasurable reign will not last forever. She destroys, with her courageous might, all that is well.
Her glare is the flash of the serpents’ eyes. Her presence is the bull, facing the matador. Storms she brings, to this destitute world. Until the lonely green leaf sprouts from the tree. Sister Spring comes shunting in. Winter will be back. Soon…

    Queen of Frost
Slowly, secretly stepped in the Queen of Frost. With a sly grin on her old, jagged face, she had a deep breeze swirling around her and the dull garden. She moves around sharp like a marching soldier in Foggy environment, As she walks through the white miserable garden she floats in and out the old, rusty trees.

When the Queen of Frost floats in to the misty world it’s like she pushes back all the ice back; of how wide her frosty Dress is! She has the worst enemy SUMMER because of how she brings happiness in the world! And her best friend is snow. She is as white as a feather and could be found easily in a Black room.

The Queen of frost brings a magical, light to a dark ugly sky. This is the Real Queen of Frost.
The garden used to be a garden full off happiness, were children would play and confess their dreams, Fruits would burst with bright colours. JG

Lightning thinks that he is the best of them. He thinks that he is the one and only best thing alive. May he think that he is the most stupendous king of the sky! Lightning is the one who can have the most horrific effect on the world. He ruins the garden so that the joyous laughing children can no-longer have special blissful memories of them playing happily with their friends. If he had the choice then he would destroy everything that he could get to. Lightning jagged down like a spear and hit the timber.
Thinking that he is the strongest living thing alive he challenges his fierce cousin thunder to a destroying war. They start to shake everything with his tremendously, outsized strike of whirlwind lightning, the ground started to shake. The war had begun. The leaves fell deliberately onto the ground. Lightning, filled with anger, flew over the mountains…

    SNOW

Snow had come to town. Hammering down with heavy hail, vandalizing and tormenting everything in his path! Making himself heard snow will abolish the garden he has been uninvited to. The unnerving snow will layer the green grass transferring it into grubby hoary mud. Making the sun feel debris, snow will make himself the most known weather! Until people recognize the enormity snow can make he will never stop his devastation. While old, unfortunate trees collapse to the ground, the immorality of snow will rise.
Annihilating everything around snow will globule making himself observable, which is why no one will forget him, so people will see the attention this egoistic giant gets. ‘This selfish giant deserves obliteration’ jested snow.
Along with his MALICIOUS best friend queen of frost used her dreamlike cape to freeze the garden of the egotistic giant! No more flowers blossom like diamonds because snow has took over. Why has the giant done this? Now Snow is the new weather for the selfish giant until his mid is changed

    Irksome Snow

Snow tore the exonerated garden apart taking away the glory and the beautifulness of the depraved garden. With her pure white cloak she wandered the desolate grounds taking away springs warm-hearted kiss. Bitter snow, with her cold-hearted mind, leaves a trail of devastation everywhere she goes, suffocating the innocent plants for her own pleasure.
Covering the golden sunlight that used to make the garden heavenly now no longer be falls. Killing all luscious peaches and the tress in the garden now leaves the animal and the birds with no habitat. She refuses to let down her terrifying reign not even for a quarter-second. She hadn’t covered the land like this since last year.
Thinking she wouldn’t let down, her terrifying reign came a surprising halt. Just silence occurred for a few heavenly moments until she came lashing back harder than ever before bringing hail with her. Battering the slates with 6tone of hail they collapsed in. Laughing solid irksome snow released a screech and disappeared into the distance for ever more.

    Frost
Carefully Frost has come into the selfish Giant’s home town. Frost took fancy to his garden. She thought it was beautiful! So uninvited she came into his wonderful garden. It was lovely. Frost, who sabotaged his garden, covered it with icy icicle spikes under the tree’s branches. Giving the leaves a frosty outline, spreading onto the top of the leaf overlapping the warming green colour. She had a sly grin shining as the frost on the trees shake down collapsing on top of her hair, making a shimmering glisten in the winter sunlight that is slowly fading into her depth of everlasting winter.
The poor helpless patch of greenery weakens and whips away its last moment of life. Frost has made an ugly look on the garden; Frost has made all the fragrant flowers droop and flop helplessly on the iced ground – cold to the touch. It is an icy prison. She saw the light, glowing blossom tree she thought the flowing blossoms with bursting bright colours grant your every wish. She felt confused why she didn’t want to freeze it like the others. So she left it.
She loved what she did. She thought it was beautiful. Seeing all the frost was graceful. Now she tip-toed away…

    Winter
Without declaring his presence, winter came to say hello. Smashing through the gates, to replace the wonderful blossom of Spring with the terrible wrath of Winter, when he just pounds through the windows while the thunder crackles in the distance; the fog coils rounds the plants choking there every breath and the birds fly as high as they can go but still get pulled back to the suffocating clutch of the fogginess.

The winter was playing tricks on the garden, that made it think it was gone, but it was lurking waiting for the right time to foray like a viper stalking his prey but then to launch out and attack! Would you like winter to visit? If the selfish giant where able to change his mind I bet he would let the children play in his garden.

Rain lashed down over the garden, as he commanded his expectations to be met. He stopped brutally waiting for his next unlucky victim and when he locates the victim… STRIKE! Rain descends through the innocent clouds melting snow gradually, who covered the ground.

Causing destruction rain constantly poured over it. Rain would eventually arrive after his cousin Hail reigns over the sombre garden for three hours every day abolishing the slates on the castle roof. Rain was cosseting the entertaining that had been created by: Snow, who had been covering the ground; Hail, who had been destroying the Giants garden; and many more.
After Rain had his entertainment the East wind took rain up and far away over the hills…Would he ever come back?

Snow floated gently through the icy breeze. Covering the garden with a touch of silver and making the garden an enchanted wonderland. Her long magical cloak covers her making her look like an ice queen. She dances around like Cinderella. Snows eyes are cerulean and her lips are a rosy pink.
The lonely flower waves side to side until thunder crashes down on it and demands it to go to back to sleep. Snow went to the glowing tree in the corner and said he would be okay because she would look after it. He bent down and thanked snow for everything. Snow carried on working her magic in one corner it as spring. Flowers danced. Trees produced there perfect peaches with juicy flesh.

Wearing a jet black coat thunder rushed angriest face EVER, the rain started to pour and it went: cold, dark, wet and pitched black .She roared and rumbled loudly. It was like a lion but 10 time louder! Fearsomely, the clouds got bigger and BIGGER every second. Thunder got his own way once again.
As dark as ever, surprisingly by the minute it began to become lighter (which is good!) Taking the horrible weather away, the sun slowly began to shine even though it was still raining! A lovely, bright rainbow came out and the day was saved and everyone had a smile on their face! D.C

Fog withered to the scene undetected by the beautiful garden. Like a ninja fog slowly observed his surroundings by his intimidating bloodshot eyes. His slender crusty arms reached out and spread his grisly fog around the garden. Fog shown no mercy to everything what gets in his way.
The birds unaware what is happening soon get the sudden urge of fear when fog consumes them. The once grand garden with was full of beauty and eternal love for all with her heart-warming luxury touch is now a playground for the destructive fog. Spring fled form fog. When snow glides past in the sky she can hear the noises such as: “WOOF”, “MEOW” snow almost feels that they are saying thank you for the snow and how much fun they are going to have playing with their family and friends. Hopefully the adorable animals will enjoy their lives from now on.

Wind, lifelessly drifting from day to day. His endless drone drags down the branches of nature, spreading dead, crispy leaves across the stretch of desolate land. His bitter cloak drapes down from his long slender shoulders. Wearing his heartless grin, he swiftly moves from place to place- he belongs nowhere.
With his clumsy, violent attitude the aggressive wind tears up innocent gardens. The garden knew him –feared him. They knew the troublesome being was coming but from where and when?
He blew a gentle wind as if to devise the fragile garden. Then suddenly, without announcing his presence, vulnerable flowers were thorn up by him, they knew wind has come. The poor trees flew, having their roots ripped out. And the grass was brutally tormented by the lashes of air as the wind took out his destructive anger out on the unfortunate garden.
Wind was finished, and yet again he was drifting lifelessly from day to day. Where would he go and what was he planning? T.o
